Yogahā offers regular weekly classes during school terms as well as wellness workshops. Yogahā offers weekly classes led by Jessica Hutchings.
Restorative and Yin Yoga: This is a slow paced and gentle class suitable for those wanting to experience the benefits of yoga in a non flow based class. Asana (poses) are seated and a range of props such as bolsters, blocks and blankets are used to allow the body recover and restore. Restorative and Yin yoga are perfect companions for calming the mind and the nervous system, focusing on breath and a turning inward to the self. This class is suitable for those recovering from injuries, health incidents, sleep issues, anxiety, low blood pressure and warding off depression. Classes are suitable for all ages, stages and abilities – nau mai haere mai.
Ashtanga yoga classes: These classes follows the half primary series Ashtanga yoga sequence with sun salutations, standing and seated postures. Ashtanga yoga is a yang practice. The aim is to provide you with a yoga practice you can do at home. All classes are guided and finish with the practice of pranayama (meditation and breathing). Classes are suitable for all levels from beginners to those with some yoga experience.
